Chinese silk piano shawl in superb condition. 
 
Red silk embroidery over a silk crepe ground in the same deep tone. With wonderful stylised birds among oversized flowers, and a beaded border and fringing, this has a very distinct Art Deco feel and dates to around the 1920's. 
 
The field is 112cm square, with another 32cm all round of fringing.
 
Condition: The silk ground is perfectly clean and has no damage, wear or losses at all. Likewise, the fringing is in completely perfect condition without any pulls or losses. The embroidery is 99.9% perfect, with only a couple of loose/pulled threads. See images.
